Little Sugar : Showing an Eclipse view

You can use an IWorkbenchPage.showView(viewId) to programatically show a view .

To access the current active page you can use the following code

IWorkbench workbench = PlatformUI.getWorkbench();
IWorkbenchWindow workbenchWindow = workbench.getActiveWorkbenchWindow();
IWorkbenchPage activePage = workbenchWindow.getActivePage();
